Frequently Asked Questions

Are New Age of Aging grants only available to Alliance for Children and Families members?

Yes, only Alliance members in good standing with up-to-date membership dues by the proposal deadlines are eligible to apply for a grant through the New Age of Aging.

If my agency does not receive a grant, can we still get involved?

Yes! The New Age of Aging staff is at Alliance members' service to respond to your needs for aging information and resources. A good place to start is by exploring this website--it's full of valuable information and resources about aging.

Throughout the five-year initiative, the New Age of Aging will host aging focused training and networking opportunities for all Alliance members. You will be able to learn what others focused on aging are doing, share resources, and engage in virtual conversations with individuals to support the continuation and growth of your aging services. We have boosted the aging resources that are available through the Severson Informaton Center and we will maintain a speaker’s bureau, which will include an ongoing list of highly regarded experts and organizations in the the field of aging.

If I am not an Alliance member, how is this project relevant to me?

The New Age of Aging is an innovative capacity-building program dedicated to workforce development and organizational culture change. We expect to produce models that can be applied to organizations everywhere and in any field. For professionals in the field of aging, our experiences and findings will yield valuable information about human services for older adults.
